 Braxton County Resident Sentenced on Firearm Charge
      Braxton County Resident Entered Guilty Plea to Firearm Charge
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 31 year old Braxton County resident was sentenced and a 26 year old Braxton County resident entered a plea of guilty on May 16, 2011, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Judge Irene M. Keeley.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that:
DANNY LEE MORGAN was sentenced to 37 months imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release. MORGAN, a convicted felon, entered a plea of guilty on December 21, 2010, to one count of an Indictment charging him with unlawfully possessing firearms on February 25, 2009, in Braxton County. MORGAN is in federal custody.
BRANDON GUM entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with selling and disposing of a stolen firearm on October 29, 2009, in Braxton County. GUM, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.
The cases were prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley. The cases were investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives.
