Monroeville Resident Sentenced in Federal Court
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 22 year old Monroeville, Pennsylvania, resident was sentenced on November 9, 2011, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that:
BRANDYN ELSTON was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment to be followed by six years of supervised release. ELSTON entered a plea of guilty on June 27, 2011, to one count of an Indictment charging him with the distribution of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of the Washington Irving Middle School and 1,000 feet of Pierpont Community & Technical College of FSU on August 18, 2009, in Clarksburg, West Virginia. ELSTON, who is free on bond, will self-report to the designated Federal Institution.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Shawn A. Morgan and was investigated by the Harrison County consisting of officers from the Clarksburg Police Department, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department and the Bridgeport Police Department.
