Clarksburg Resident Enter Plea in Federal Court

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 21-year old Clarksburg, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on November 2, 2011, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: HENRY PAUL entered a plea of guilty to one count of distribution of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of the Monticello Avenue playground and the Harrison Street playground in Clarksburg on July 6, 2011. PAUL, who is in custody pending sentencing, face a maximum exposure of 1 to 40 years imprisonment and a fine of $2,000,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley and was investigated by the Harrison County Task Force consisting of officers from the Clarksburg Police Department, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department and the Bridgeport Police Department.
