Ohio Resident Sentenced on Firearms Charge
WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA - A 25-year old Mingo Junction, Ohio, resident was sentenced on November 7, 2011, in United States District Court in Wheeling by Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: JASON RINKES was sentenced to 23 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. RINKES entered a plea of guilty on September 13, 2011, to one count of an Indictment charging him with possession of a firearm on February 17, 2011, in Weirton, West Virginia, after having previously been convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding on year. RINKES, who is in free on bond, will self-report to the designated Federal Institution on January 9, 2012.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David J. Perri and was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
