Clarksburg Resident Sentenced in Federal Court
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — a 51 year old Clarksburg, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on October 25, 2011, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: VICTOR BARRETT was sentenced to 70 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. BARRETT entered a plea of guilty on July 12, 2011, to one count of an Indictment charging him with conspiracy to distribute cocaine from February 2007 to April of 2007 in Clarksburg and Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania. BARRETT will continue on his home confinement until he is designated to a Federal Medical Facility.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Andrew R. Cogar and was investigated by the West Virginia State Police-Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
