Federal Inmate Enters Plea and is
Sentenced in Federal Court
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — An FCI Morgantown inmate entered a plea of guilty and was sentenced on October 26, 2011, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: DANIEL UNGAR, age 26, entered a plea of guilty attempting to obstruct justice on March 2, 2011, at FCI Morgantown, when the staff found UNGAR in possession of a cell phone. UNGAR refused to give the phone to the staff and ran from his housing unit, throwing the phone into a pond at the prison. UNGAR was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment to be served consecutively with his current 120-month sentence.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Brandon S. Flower and were investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Special Investigative Services at FCI Morgantown.
