Eleven Individuals Sentenced this Week
in Federal Court

ELKINS, WEST VIRGINIA - Eleven individuals were sentenced this week in United States District Court in Elkins by Chief Judge John Preston Bailey.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that:

On August 20, 2012

NATHANIEL L. FAWLEY, age 22, of Petersburg, was sentenced to 87 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. FAWLEY entered a plea of guilty on May 25, 2012, to Possession of Material Used in the Manufacture of Methamphetamine on January 27, 2012. FAWLEY was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending designation to a Federal institution.

RONI N. NICELY, age 22, of Cabins, West Virginia, was sentenced to 51 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. NICELY entered a plea of guilty on June 1, 2012, to Possession of Material Used in the Manufacture of Methamphetamine on January 27, 2012. NICELY, who is free on bond, will self-report to the designated Federal institution.

DERICK E. WILSON, age 30, of Petersburg, was sentenced to 51 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. WILSON entered a plea of guilty on May 29, 2012, to Possession of Material Used in the Manufacture of Methamphetamine on January 27, 2012. WILSON, who is free on bond, will self-report to the designated Federal institution.

JEREMY JONES, age 31, of Petersburg, was sentenced to 46 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. JONES entered a plea of guilty on May 29, 2012, to Possession of Pseudoephedrine to be Used in the Manufacture of Methamphetamine on December 6, 2011. JONES, who is free on bond, will self-report to the designated Federal institution.

KEVIN G. THOMPSON, JR., age 20, of Petersburg, West Virginia, was sentenced to 37 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. THOMPSON entered a plea of guilty on May 21, 2012, to Possession of Pseudoephedrine with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine on December 9, 2011. THOMPSON, who is free on bond, will self-report to the designated Federal institution.

On August 21, 2012

DARL E. VANMETER, age 30, of Petersburg, was sentenced to 96 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. VANMETER entered a plea of guilty on June 4, 2012, to Possession of Material Used in the Manufacture of Methamphetamine on February 9, 2012. VANMETER, who is free on bond, will self-report to the designated Federal institution.

TOMMA J. KILE, age 40, of Maysville, West Virginia, was sentenced to 46 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. KILE entered a plea of guilty on May 26, 2012, to Possession of Material Used in the Manufacture of Methamphetamine on February 9, 2012. KILE, who is free on bond, will self-report to the designated Federal institution.

TY H. VANMETER, age 20, of Petersburg, was sentenced to 24 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. VANMETER entered a plea of guilty on May 29, 2012, to Possession of Pseudoephedrine to be Used in the Manufacture of Methamphetamine on February 9, 2012. VANMETER, who is free on bond, will self-report to the designated Federal institution.

GARRETT A. SITES, age 28, of Petersburg, was sentenced to 37 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. SITES entered a plea of guilty on June 1, 2012, to Possession of Pseudoephedrine to be Used in the Manufacture of Methamphetamine on January 19, 2012. SITES, who is free on bond, will self-report to the designated Federal institution.

These cases were prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Stephen D. Warner and Robert H. McWilliams, Jr. and investigated by the Grant County Sheriff’s Department, the United States Forest Service, DHS-Homeland Security Investigations, and the West Virginia State Police.PRESS RELEASE

CHRISTOPHER BILLS, age 18, of Lewis County was sentenced to 60 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. BILLS entered a plea of guilty on June 26, 2012, to Use of a Firearm During a Crime of Violence. BILLS was charged with using the firearm during the robbery of a 7-11 store in Weston, West Virginia. BILLS was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending designated Federal institution. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley and was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms

RALPH W. JACK, age 55, of Buckhannon, was sentenced to12 months imprisonment to be followed by six years of supervised release. JACK entered a plea of guilty on April 10, 2012, the Distribution of Fentanyl TS Patch on January 7, 2010. JACK, who is free on bond, will self-report to the designated Federal institution. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Stephen D. Warner and investigated by the Upshur County Sheriff’s Department and the Buckhannon Police Department.
