Shock Resident Indicted by Federal Grand Jury
on Methamphetamine Charges

ELKINS, WEST VIRGINIA - A 37 year old Shock, West Virginia, resident was named in two-count Indictment returned on August 21, 2012, by a Federal Grand Jury sitting in Elkins, West Virginia.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that:

DANIEL RAY KING is charged in Count One with Manufacturing Methamphetamine and in Count Two with Possession of Material Used in the Manufacture of Methamphetamine. Both offenses are alleged to have occurred on February 1, 2012, in Gilmer County, West Virginia. If convicted, KING faces up to 20 years imprisonment and a $1,000,000 fine on the manufacturing charge and up to 20 years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine on the possession of materials charge.

The case will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Stephen D. Warner and investigated by the West Virginia State Police.

It should be noted that the charges contained in the Indictment are merely accusations and not evidence of guilt, and that each defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
