Elkins Resident Enters Plea to
Distribution of Methamphetamine

ELKINS, WEST VIRGINIA - A 25 year old, Elkins, West Virginia entered a plea of guilty on August 3, 2012, in United States District Court in Elkins before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: JAMES ROBERT KOON entered a plea of guilty to the Distribution of Methamphetamine on October 12, 2010, in Upshur County, West Virginia. KOON, who is free on bond pending sentencing, faces up to 20 years imprisonment and a fine of $1,000,000.

This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Stephen D. Warner and investigated by the Upshur County Sheriff’s Department.
