Ohio Resident Enters Plea to Crack Distribution Charge
and is Sentenced in Federal Court
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 34 year old Akron, Ohio, resident entered a plea of guilty and was sentenced on August 10, 2012, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: MICHAEL C. LEWIS entered a plea of guilty to the Distribution of Crack Cocaine in Fairmont, West Virginia. LEWIS was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment to be followed by six years of supervised release. LEWIS was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending designation to a Federal institution.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Robert H. McWilliams, Jr. and investigated by the Three Rivers Drug Task Force, consisting of officers from the Fairmont Police Department and the Fairmont State University Police Department.
