Morgantown Resident Sentenced on Heroin Charge

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 31-year old Morgantown, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on August 14, 2012, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II announced that: JUSTIN PRICE was sentenced to 15 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. PRICE entered a plea of guilty on May 31, 2012, to Distribution of Heroin on February 23, 2010, in Morgantown. PRICE was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending designation to a Federal institution.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Andrew R. Cogar and investigated by the Mon Valley Drug Task Force and the West Virginia State Police. The task force consists of officers from Morgantown Police Department, the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
