Michigan Resident Enters Plea in Federal Court
ELKINS, WEST VIRGINIA - A 34-year old Michigan resident entered a plea of guilty on February 9, 2012, in United States District Court in Elkins before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: KARL WILLIAM NAGORNY entered a plea of guilty to one count of mailing in interstate commerce a letter on February 20, 2011, to the Summit Community Bank in Franklin, West Virginia, containing a threat of injury to the person of another. NAGORNY, who is in custody pending sentencing, faces a maximum exposure of five years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Stephen D. Warner and was investigated by the United States Postal Inspection Service.
