Pittsburgh Resident Sentenced on Heroin Charge
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 27 year old Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, resident was sentenced on July 2, 2012, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that:
DARREN L. JONES a/k/a LIZZIE was sentenced to 110 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. JONES entered a plea of guilty on December 20, 2011, to one count of “Conspiracy to Distribute Heroin” in Morgantown, West Virginia, from September of 2009 to May of 2010. JONES was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending designation to a Federal institution.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Andrew R. Cogar and was investigated by the West Virginia State Police-Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
