Franklin Resident Enters Plea to Methamphetamine Charge
ELKINS, WEST VIRGINIA — A 42 year old Franklin, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on June 12, 2012, in United States District Court in Elkins before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: STACEY AUSTIN GARDINER entered a plea of guilty to Possession of Material Used in the Manufacture of Methamphetamine on January 31, 2012, in Pendleton County, West Virginia. GARDINER, who is in custody pending sentencing, faces a maximum exposure of 10 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Stephen D. Warner and was investigated by the West Virginia State Police-Franklin Detachment; the Monongahela National Forest/Law Enforcement and Investigations and the Pendleton County Sheriff’s Department.
