Clarksburg Resident Enters Plea to Distribution of
Crack Cocaine within 1,000 Feet of a Protected Location
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA - A 20-year old Clarksburg resident entered a plea of guilty on November 30, 2012, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Judge Irene M. Keeley.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: TEISHA DAVIS entered a plea of guilty to “Distribution of Crack Cocaine within 1,000 Feet of Monticello Avenue playground on May 3, 2012. DAVIS, who is free on bond pending sentencing, faces up to 40 years imprisonment and a fine of $2,000,000. As part of her plea, DAVIS will forfeit her interest in $1,220 in U.S. currency, firearms, ammunition, cell phones, digital scales, thumb drive and a television which were seized from her residence and which constitute proceeds from the drug activity.
The case was prosecuted by Criminal Chief Shawn A. Morgan and investigated by the Harrison County Drug Task Force consisting of officers from the Clarksburg Police Department, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department and the Bridgeport Police Department.
