Triadelphia Resident Sentenced on Firearms Charge
WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA — A 41 year old Triadelphia, West Virginia, resident was sentenced in November, in United States District Court in Wheeling by Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: RANDAL A. HOWARD was sentenced to 10 months imprisonment to be followed by two years of supervised release. HOWARD entered a plea of guilty on August 14, 2012, to being Felon in Possession of a Firearm. HOWARD possessed a firearm on February 28, 2012, despite having a prior felony conviction from the Circuit Court of Ohio County, West Virginia, for Grand Larceny.
HOWARD was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending designation to a Federal institution.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Robert H. McWilliams, Jr. and investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office.
