Fairmont Resident Sentenced on Firearms charge
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA - A 34 year old Fairmont, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on November 26, 2012, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: DEVON MILLER was sentenced to 23 months imprisonment to be followed by two years of supervised release. MILLER entered a plea of guilty on August 15, 2012, to Felon in Possession of a Firearm. MILLER possessed a firearm on December 11, 2011, despite having a prior felony conviction from the Circuit Court of Marion County, West Virginia, for Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
MILLER, who is free on bond, will self-report to the designated Federal institution. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley and
investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
