Pennsylvania Resident Sentenced for Possession of
Crack Cocaine within 1,000 Feet of a Protected Location
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 28 year old McKeesport, Pennsylvania, resident was sentenced on November 19, 2012, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: JO-EL TORRES was sentenced to 70 months imprisonment to be followed by eight years of supervised release. TORRES entered a plea of guilty on August 8, 2012, to the “Possession with Intent to Distribute in Excess of 28 Grams of Crack Cocaine within 1,000 Feet of the Harrison Street Playground” on June 2, 2011, in Clarksburg.
TORRES, who is free on bond pending sentencing, will self-report to the designated
Federal institution.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley and prosecuted by the Harrison County Drug & Violent Crime Task Force, consisting of officers from the Clarksburg Police Department and the Bridgeport Police Department.
