Two Individuals Enter Pleas of Guilty in Federal Court

MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA - Two individuals entered pleas of guilty on October 10, 2012, in United States District Court in Martinsburg before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that:

RICHARD TAYLOR, age 42, of Bunker Hill, West Virginia, entered a plea of guilty to Distribution of Crack Cocaine in Martinsburg, West Virginia. TAYLOR, who is in custody pending sentencing, faces up to 20 imprisonment and a $1,000,000 fine.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Thomas O. Mucklow and investigated by the Eastern Panhandle Drug & Violent Crime Task Force, consisting of officers from the West Virginia State Police - Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Martinsburg Police Department, and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department.

DONALD NELSON DAVEY, II, age 34, of Burlington, West Virginia, entered a plea of guilty to Felon in Possession of Ammunition on April 9, 2012. DAVEY, having previously been convicted of Possession of Counterfeit Securities in the Northern District of West Virginia District Court, knowingly possessed 20 Remington pellet shells and one Remington 20 gauge slug. DAVEY, who is in custody pending sentencing, faces up to 10 years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Paul T. Camilletti and investigated by the United States Probation office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives.
