"Project FUTURE” to visit Brooke High School
on Thursday Night
U.S. Attorney, Local Officials, and Special Guest speaker to attend
WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA – United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II announced that there will be a drug education program at Brooke High School on Thursday, October 11, 2012, at 6:30 pm for concerned parents and citizens. The program is known as Project FUTURE: The Right Prescription for West Virginia and it is designed to educate parents and children about the dangers of prescribed medicine, synthetic drugs, and other illegal drugs that are plaguing communities in West Virginia.
The featured speaker on Thursday will be Wayne Campbell, an Ohio Valley native and the founder of Tyler’s Light, an organization devoted to educating the public about the perils of drug use. Federal and local law enforcement officials will also address the group and will be available to answer questions.
Project FUTURE is supported by Sen. Jay Rockefeller, Drug Free Clubs of America, and the Ohio County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition.
