OAK HILL MAN SENTENCED ON FEDERAL CHARGES
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Christopher Michael Wilson, 35, of Oak Hill, West Virginia, was sentenced today to six months in prison by United States District Judge Thomas E. The defendant admitted that on June 1, 2010, he set fire to and destroyed a restroom facility located within the New River Gorge National River. The Court ordered that the defendant’s six-month prison sentence be served consecutive to a six to 30-year prison sentence he is currently serving for a conviction on nine counts of first-degree sexual abuse previously handed down in Fayette County Circuit Court. The Court also ordered the defendant to pay a $100 special assessment and $1910 in restitution to the National Park Service.
