OHIO MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO HEROIN DISTRIBUTION
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Robert K. Pemberton, 27, of Chesapeake, OH, pleaded guilty today in federal court before United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers to distribution of a quantity of heroin. Pemberton admitted that on March 21, 2011, he distributed a quantity of heroin to a confidential informant working with the Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force in Huntington. Pemberton further admitted that he distributed heroin for at least two other associates and from January 2011 through March 2011, he distributed a total of 30 grams of heroin.
Pemberton faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine when he is sentenced on August 20, 2012.
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Huntington Police Department conducted the investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Joseph F. Adams is in charge of the prosecution.
