Antonio Valdovinos-Mateo, aka Joel Ramirez-Baldovinos, 37, of Mexico, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenal on Janaury 27, 2011, for illegal entry of alien into the United States. Valdovinos-Mateo received time served plus ten days, one year of supervised release and upon release from imprisonment will be deported to Mexico. This case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Rene Alberto Barrera, 20, of South Gate, California, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson, on January 27, 2011, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distributing at least 300 grams of cocaine. Barrera received 40 months of imprisonment, was ordered to pay a $750.00 fine and upon release from imprisonment will be placed on three years of supervised release. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Alfonso Ordonez-Perez, 46, of Mexico, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on January 27, 2011, for illegal re-entry of previously deported alien into the United States. Ordonez-Perez received time served plus ten days for transportation, one year of supervised release and a $100.00 special assessment. Upon release from imprisonment, Ordonez-Perez will be deported to Mexico. This case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Brandon Thomas Sheridan, 23, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge William F. Downes on January 25, 2011, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute, distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and aiding and abetting. Sheridan received 120 months of imprisonment, was ordered to pay a $300.00 fine, a $200.00 special assessment and to forfeit $1,000.00. Upon release from imprisonment, Sheridan will be placed on five years of supervised release. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Jon Edward Johnson, 42, of Torrington, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge William F. Downes on Janaury 25, 2011, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and aiding and abetting. Johnson received 120 months of imprisonment, was ordered to pay a $200.00 special assessment and to forfeit $5,000.00. Upon release from imprisonment, Johnson will be placed on five years of supervised release. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Nate G. Goen, 29, of Casper, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge William F. Downes on January 25, 2011, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. Goen received 120 months of imprisonment, was ordered to pay a $200.00 special assessment and to forfeit $1,000.00. Upon release from imprisonment, Goen will be placed on five years of supervised release. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Paula Sue Walker, 56, of Lyman, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge William F. Downes on January 25, 2011, for theft of government money from a government agency. Walker received four years probation and was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $17,796.00 to the Social Security Administration. This case was investigated by the Social Security Administration.

Rene Hernandez-Sosa, 29, of Mexico, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on January 24, 2011, for illegal re-entry of previously deported alien into the United States. Hernandez-Sosa received time served plus ten days for transportation, one year of supervised release and a $100.00 special assessment. Upon release from imprisonment, Hernandez-Sosa will be deported to Mexico. This case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Jody Clawson, 33, of Rock Springs, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge William F. Downes on January 24, 2011, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distributing approximately 1300 grams of methamphetamine. Clawson received 92 months of imprisonment followed by five years of supervised release. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation.

Kenneth William Early, 39, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge William F. Downes on January 24, 2011, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. Early received 151 months of imprisonment, was ordered to pay a $2,000.00 fine, a $100.00 special assessment and upon release from imprisonment will be placed on eight years of supervised release. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation.

Jose Eden Avendano-Cuadras, 32, of Sinaloa, Mexico, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on January 24, 2011, for being an illegal alien in possession of a firearm. Avendano-Cuadras received ten months of imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release and is subject to deportation to Mexico upon his release from prison. This case was investigated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Bill Cook, 41, of Casper, Wyoming, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on January 24, 2011, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. Cook received 120 months of imprisonment, was ordered to pay a $400.00 fine, a $100.00 special assessment. Upon release from imprisonment, Cook will be placed on five years of supervised release. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Wolfe Jon Taylor Willow, 25, of Fort Washakie, Wyoming, pleaded guilty in federal district court on January 21, 2011, to a charge of abusive sexual contact involving a victim under the age of 12. Willow was indicted on November 17, 2010. Sentencing has been set for April 8, 2011. Willow remains detained and has been ordered to have no contact with any of the families involved.

Shelly Dee Ruiz, 40, of Denver, Colorado, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on January 21, 2011, for conspiracy to deliver and possession with intent to deliver more than 500 grams of methamphetamine. Ruiz received 140 months of imprisonment, was ordered to pay a $500.00 fine and upon release from imprisonment will be placed on five years of supervised release. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation.

William D. Latham, 42, of Nephi, Utah, was sentenced by Magistrate Judge Karen L. Marty on January 19, 2011, for unlawful taking of threatened wildlife – wolf. Latham was fined $3,000.00 and ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $1,000.00. Latham was also placed on one year of unsupervised probation. This case was investigated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Brian Nielsen, 25, of Cody, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge William F. Downes on January 13, 2011, for shipment of child pornography using a means of interstate commerce. Nielsen received 135 months of imprisonment to be followed by a lifetime of supervised release. This case was investigated by the Casper Police Department.
