Garland Wilson, 51, of Riverton, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge William F. Downes on February 24, 2011, for receipt of child pornography. Wilson was sentenced to 180 months of imprisonment, ordered to pay a $1,000.00 fine and upon release from prison will be placed on a life term of supervised release. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Sarah A. Welch, 36, of Fort Collins, Colorado, after being found guilty of fraud in connection with an unauthorized access device and theft of mail by fraud and deception during a jury trial in December 2010, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on February 24, 2011. Welch was sentenced to supervised two years probation with the first 90 days of the probation to be served in home confinement. In addition, Welch was ordered to pay a $200.00 special assessment and restitution in the amount of $6,000.00. This case was investigated by the U.S. Postal Service.
Cody Ann Coppock, 31, of Casper, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge William F. Downes on February 24, 2011, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and two counts of distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. Coppock was sentenced to 37 months of imprisonment, ordered to pay a $200.00 special assessment and to forfeit $200.00. Upon release from prison, Coppock will be placed on five years of supervised release. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
Roxanna Lee Smith, 23, of Mills, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge William F. Downes on February 24, 2011, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. Smith was sentenced to 37 months of imprisonment, was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment and to forfeit $500.00. Upon release from prison, Smith will be placed on five years of supervised release. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
Raymond Palffy, 37, of Mesa, Arizona, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Clarence A. Brimmer on February 23, 2011, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distributing between 1.5 and 5 kilograms of methamphetamine. Palffy was sentenced to 180 months of imprisonment, ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment and will be placed on five years of supervised release upon release from prison. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation.
Randa Rae Fowler, 51, of Casper, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge William F. Downes on February 23, 2011, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute and to distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, conspiracy to launder money and aiding and abetting. Fowler was sentenced to 57 months of imprisonment, ordered to pay a $300.00 special assessment and a to forfeit $3000.00. Upon release from prison, Fowler will be placed on five years of supervised release. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
Mauro Cervantes-Sanchez, 38, of Mexico, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on February 22, 2011, for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien into the United States. Cervantes-Sanchez was sentenced to time served, plus up to ten days to commence deportation proceedings, followed by one year of supervised release. In addition, Cervantes-Sanchez was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment and will be subject to deportation upon release from prison. This case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Gregorio Cervantes-Aguilar, 28, of Mexico, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on February 22, 2011, for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien into the United States. Cervantes-Aguilar was sentenced to time served, plus up to ten days to commence deportation proceedings, followed by one year of supervised release. In addition, Cervantes-Aguilar was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment and will be subject to deportation upon release from prison. This case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Jose Cruz-Miranda, 20, of Salt Lake City, Utah, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on February 18, 2011, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distributing cocaine and 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. Cruz-Miranda was sentenced to 40 months of imprisonment, ordered to pay a $200.00 special assessment and a $300.00 fine. Upon release from prison, Cruz-Miranda will be placed on five years of supervised release. This case was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
Michael Picard, 35, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on February 18, 2011, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distributing between 1.5 and 5 kilograms of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. Picard was sentenced to 248 months of imprisonment, ordered to pay a $200.00 special assessment and five years of supervised release. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Investigation.
Gerardo Lopez-Ledezma, 33, of Mexico, was sentenced by Federal District Court Nancy D. Freudenthal on February 17, 2011, for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien into the United States. Lopez-Ledezma was sentenced to time served, plus ten days, followed by one year of supervised release. In addition, Lopez-Ledezma was ordered to pay a $200.00 special assessment and will be subject to deportation upon release from prison. This case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
