United States Attorney Christopher A. Crofts announced today that Tyvan Allen Chee and Dustin Lee Eder of the Wind River Indian Reservation appeared in Federal Court after having been indicted in a one-count Indictment charging Chee with Theft by an Employee of a Gaming Establishment on Indian Lands and Eder with Aiding and Abetting Chee in the commission of the offense in connection with a scheme involving theft of casino property. The charges carry a maximum penalty of not more than twenty years and a fine of not more than $1,000,000.00. The charges carry a maximum penalty of up to ten years imprisonment on each count. An indictment is only an accusation. In every criminal case, the accused is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty, and the government always has the burden of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

United States Attorney Christopher A. Crofts announced today that Adelia Rochelle Jenkins of the Wind River Indian Reservation appeared in Federal Court after having been indicted in a four-count Indictment charging her with two counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon with Intent to do Bodily Harm and two counts of Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury in connection with two separate incidents involving different victims. The charges carry a maximum penalty of up to ten years imprisonment and a fine of not more than $250,000.00 on each count. An indictment is only an accusation. In every criminal case, the accused is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty, and the government always has the burden of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

United States Attorney Christopher A. Crofts announced today that Garnett Rapheal Addison of the Wind River Indian Reservation appeared in Federal Court after having been indicted in a one count Indictment charging him with Sexual Abuse under 18 U.S.C. §§ 2242(2)(B) and 1153 in connection with an incident involving a minor. The charge carries a maximum penalty of up to life in prison. An indictment is only an accusation. In every criminal case, the accused is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty, and the government always has the burden of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

Crofts announced today that Mervin Black of the Wind River Reservation appeared in federal court after having been indicted in a two-count indictment involving assaulting a victim with a dangerous weapon which resulted in serious bodily injury to that victim. Crofts announced today that Milton Lyle Trosper Jr., of the Wind River Reservation appeared in federal court after having been indicted in a one count indictment involving assaulting a victim which resulted in serious bodily injury to that victim. The charge carries a maximum penalty of up to ten years imprisonment. An indictment is only an accusation. In every criminal case, the accused is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty, and the government always has the burden of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

United States Attorney Christopher A. Crofts announced today that Fabian Tarness of the Wind River Reservation appeared in federal court after having been indicted on a charge of involuntary manslaughter. This count carries a maximum penalty of up to eight years imprisonment and a $250,000.00 fine. Trial will commence in May 2011, in the United States District Court in Cheyenne, Wyoming. An indictment is only an accusation. In every criminal case, the accused is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty, and the government always has the burden of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

United States Attorney Christopher A. Crofts announced today that Jerry Tillman of the Wind River Reservation appeared in federal court after having been indicted in a four-count indictment alleging two counts of assault resulting in serious bodily injury and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, namely a motor vehicle. Each count carries a maximum penalty of up to ten years imprisonment and a $250,000.00 fine. Trial has been set for May 31, 2011, in Casper, Wyoming before Chief Judge William F. Downes. An indictment is only an accusation. In every criminal case, the accused is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty, and the government always has the burden of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

U.S. Attorney Christopher A. Crofts announced today that two men have been sentenced in U.S. Federal District Court in the death of a juvenile girl whose body was found near Arapahoe, Wyoming on April 7, 2010. Robert Spoonhunter, a 22-year-old Northern Arapaho man, pleaded guilty to the charge of voluntary manslaughter before U.S. District Court Judge Alan Johnson on January 3, 2011. Judge Johnson sentenced Spoonhunter to 156 months imprisonment and three years of supervised release for the April 2, 2010, killing of a 13-year enrolled Northern Arapaho girl on the Wind River Indian Reservation. On January 20, 2011, Kyrean Tillman, a 19-year-old Eastern Shoshone man, was found guilty of accessory after the fact (voluntary manslaughter) and sexual abuse of a minor after a three-day jury trial in U.S. District Court in Cheyenne. Tillman was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson to a total of 80 months imprisonment and 13 years of supervised release, in connection with the April 2, 2010, killing of a 13-year enrolled Northern Arapaho girl on the Wind River Indian Reservation. The investigation into the death of the female juvenile was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation with the assistance of the Bureau of Indian Affairs/Wind River Police Department, the Riverton Police Department, the Riverton Fire Department, the Fremont County Sheriff's Department, and the Fremont County Coroner's Office.
