CHEYENNE, WY - Maria Guadalupe Gutierrez-Rangel, 32, of Mexico, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on November 21, 2011, for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien into the United States. Gutierrez-Rangel was arrested in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She received time served plus ten days and was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment. She is subject to deportation upon release from custody. This case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

CHEYENNE, WY - Jamie Arias Perez, 24, of Green River, Wyoming, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Clarence A. Brimmer on November 16, 2011, for felon in possession of a firearm. Perez was arrested in Green River, WY. He received 33 months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment and a $200.00 fine. This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
