CHEYENNE, WY - United States Attorney Christopher A. Crofts announced that on December 1, 2011, Kevin Bryson Brown, a 23-year-old Navajo man from Farmington, New Mexico, appeared in Federal District Court for sentencing before United States District Judge Alan B. Johnson on a single count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Brown received thirty months of imprisonment, to be followed by two years of supervised release and was ordered to pay a $300.00 fine. The charge stemmed from an offense which occurred on May 3, 2011 in the City of Riverton, Wyoming and involved officers from the Riverton Police Department and Agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
