Sentences for March 15, 2012
Guillermo Licona-Ramirez, 33, of Mexico, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl on March 15, 2012, for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien into the United States. Licona-Ramirez was arrested in Laramie, Wyoming. He received time served plus ten days, was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment and is subject to deportation upon release from custody. This case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
James H. Durant, 57, of Eugene, Oregon, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl on March 15, 2012, for possession of child pornography. Durant was arrested in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. He received 120 months of imprisonment, to be followed by life of supervised release. Durant was also ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment, and restitution in the amount of $300.00. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
