Luis Enrique Cota-Apodaca, 29, of Vernal, Utah, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on May 7, 2012, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute at least 1.5 to 5 kilograms of methamphetamine. Cota-Apodaca was arrested in Pleasant Grove, Utah. He received 151 months of imprisonment, to be followed by five years of supervised release and was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation.
Corey David Garriott, 28, of Casper, Wyoming, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl on May 7, 2012, for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Garriott was arrested in Casper, Wyoming. He received 44 months and 6 days of imprisonment, concurrent to the undischarged term of imprisonment in Natrona County for probation violation. Garriott was also ordered to serve a three-year term of supervised release after his imprisonment and to pay a $100.00 special assessment. Huber Ledezma-Gracia, 35, of Mexico, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on May 4, 2012, for unlawful entry by an alien into the United States. Ledezma-Gracia was arrested in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He received time served plus 21 days, was ordered to pay a $10.00 special assessment and is subject to deportation upon release from custody. This case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
