Sentences for May 11- May 15, 2012

Brett McSherry, 40, of Worland, Wyoming, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl on May 15, 2012, on one count of possession of child pornography and one count of receipt of child pornography. McSherry was arrested in Worland, Wyoming. He received 78 months of imprisonment, to be followed by a life-term of supervised release. McSherry was also ordered to pay a $200.00 special assessment and restitution in the amount of $300.00. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Gaudencio Portillo-Espinoza, 52, of Mexico, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on May 11, 2012, for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien into the United States. Portillo-Espinoza was arrested in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He received 14 months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release, was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment and is subject to deportation upon release from custody. This case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Abundio Cuahucihua-Tolentino, 32, of Mexico, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on May 11, 2012, for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien into the United States. Cuahucihua-Tolentino was arrested in Rawlins, Wyoming. He received time served plus ten days was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment and is subject to deportation upon release from custody. This case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
