Eric Behrens, 41, of Gillette, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on May 31, 2012, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute 50 grams or more of actual methamphetamine and for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Behrens was arrested in Minnesota. He received 240 months of imprisonment, to be followed by ten years of supervised release and was ordered to pay a $200.00 special assessment and a $800.00 fine. Freudenthal on May 24, 2012, on one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 1,812 grams of methamphetamine; one count conspiracy to launder money; one count of use or carry a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime; three counts of distribution of methamphetamine; one count of distribution of methamphetamine; one count of attempt to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and aiding and abetting; and one count of felon in possession of a firearm. Negrete was arrested in Casper, Wyoming. He received 360 months of imprisonment, to be followed by ten years of supervised release and was ordered to pay a $1,100.00 special assessment and a $5000.00 fine. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
