Ho P. Tran, 28, of Jacksonville, Florida, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on June 29, 2012 for conspiracy to possess with intent to manufacture 100 or more marijuana plants. Tran appeared pursuant to summons in Jackson, Wyoming. He received 15 months of imprisonment, to be followed by four years of supervised release and was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation.
Gale Lawson, 61, of Cherokee, Arkansas, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl on June 29, 2012 for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Lawson was arrested in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He received 13 months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release and was ordered to pay a $500.00 fine and a $100.00 special assessment. This case was investigated by the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
