Sentences July 20 - 25, 2012

Erik Martin Edner, 26, of Cheyenne, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on July 20, 2012, for receipt of obscene material.  Edner was arrested in Cheyenne, Wyoming.  He received supervised probation for a period of five years, was ordered to pay a $500.00 fine and restitution in the amount $600.00. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Christopher P. Morgan, 40, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, was sentenced Judge Alan B. Johnson on July 20, 2012, for theft or bribery concerning programs receiving federal funds. Morgan was arrested in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He was placed on probation for two years, was ordered to pay $100.00 special assessment and restitution in the amount of $20,500.00. This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Antonio Ramos-Cruz, 41, of Honduras, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl on July 23, 2012, for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien into the United States. Ramos-Cruz was arrested in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He received time served, was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment and is subject to deportation upon release from custody. This case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.;

James McAbee, 34, of Green River, Wyoming, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on July 25, 2012, for distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography. McAbee was arrested in Green River, Wyoming. He received 65 months of imprisonment to be followed by 12 years of supervised release. In addition, McAbee was order to pay a $300.00 fine. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
