Sentences for December 17, 2012

David Eyten, 28, of Rock Springs, Wyoming, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on December 17, 2012, for failure to register as a sex offender. Eyten was arrested in Rock Springs. He received 33 months of imprisonment, to be followed by five years of supervised release and was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment. This case was investigated by the United States Marshals Service.

Donald Hopkins, 51, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on December 17, 2012, for attempted distribution of child pornography. Hopkins was arrested in Cheyenne. He received 84 months of imprisonment, to be followed by five years of supervised release and was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment. The Court granted an additional 30 days to determine possible restitution. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Robert Hinkley, 26, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on December 17, 2012, for possession of child pornography. Hinkley was arrested in Cheyenne. He received 120 months of imprisonment, to be followed by a life-term of supervised release and was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment. The Court ordered restitution in the amount of $3,000.00. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Kenneth Dean Addison, 27, of Ethete, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on December 17, 2012, for escape from custody. Addison was arrested in Lander. He received four months of imprisonment and was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment. This case was investigated by the United States Marshals Service.

Gregory A. Rumler, 55, of Rock Springs, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on December 17, 2012, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine. Rumler was arrested in Rock Springs. He received 204 months of imprisonment, to be followed by five years of supervised release and was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
