False Statement

For a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1001, a false statement may be written or oral, sworn or unsworn, voluntarily made in regard to information sought as or required by law, signed or unsigned. Isaacs, 493 F.2d 1124, 1156-57 (7th Cir. 1974), cert. denied, 417 U.S. 976 (1974).
