ICITAP is a law enforcement development organization whose mission is to work with foreign governments to develop effective, professional, and transparent law enforcement capacity that protects human rights, combats corruption, and reduces the threat of transnational crime and terrorism, in support of U.S. foreign policy and national security objectives.

ICITAP Structure and Staffing
ICITAP is based in Washington, D.C., with law enforcement development programs of varying size in foreign countries throughout the globe. The organization’s large programs are managed in the field by full-time senior law enforcement advisors, while programs too small to support an in-country management position are managed from ICITAP headquarters.
