Welcome to the Krome Immigration Court!

The Krome Immigration Court falls under the jurisdiction of the Office of the Chief Immigration Judge which is a component of the Executive Office for Immigration Review under the Department of Justice.

Our court has made a commitment to provide access to information through the Internet in order to service the needs of the public.

Our goal is to provide the most current and accurate information available to those needing to appear before an Immigration Judge and to provide this information in a user-friendly fashion.

Please note: The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) are separate organizations.

Business hours Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Anyone wishing to review Record of Proceedings (ROPs) may do so between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. No more than three ROPs may be reviewed during the day, advance notice to the court is expected.

Directions

Following are directions to the Krome Immigration Court - Miami, Florida. For your convenience, we have also provided a link to a free mapping service.

From Miami:

Take 836 West, past the Miami International Airport, to the Florida Turnpike. Take the Florida Turnpike (South) and exit immediately onto 8th Street, also known as Tamiami Trail and U.S. 41. Head west approximately five miles to Krome Avenue. Turn left, south, for approximately mile. Krome Service Processing Center (SPC), Department of Homeland Security Detention facility. Turn right, west, and proceed to the entrance gate.

Respondents and visitors appearing before the court must present a photo identification (drivers license is acceptable).

At NO time are any electronic recording devices permitted in Immigration Court space. Courtroom etiquette must be observed. Proper business attire must be worn at all times. No hats or caps will be allowed. No food, drinks, chewing gum or other consumables will be allowed in court.


Additional Information

Security

The Immigration Court security is provided, not only by security staff personnel, but also with a myriad of cameras and alarms. All bags, purses, packages, briefcases, etc. will be subject to search. Please arrive a minimum of fifteen (15) minutes prior to hearing(s) to process through security. The is NO SMOKING in the facility. NO cellular phones, pagers or other media devices are authorized/utilized in court controlled space.

Courtroom Etiquette
  • Arrive early. Please arrive at least fifteen minutes prior to the scheduled hearing so that you can be cleared by security on time.
  • All persons must be dressed appropriately in business-type clothing.
  • Bring your notice to appear (NTA) or hearing notice and any NTA for any family member, even if they are not scheduled to appear with you. If you and other family members received Notices to Appear (NTA) for the same date, you must ALL attend the hearing.
  • Even if you do not have a lawyer, you must go to your hearing.
  • Food, beverages, and chewing gum are not permitted in the Courtrooms. Federal regulations prohibit the use of any recording devices in the hearing. The use of cameras, beepers, or cellular telephones during the hearing also is not permitted, and must be turned off.
  • Talking during someone else's hearing is not allowed in Court. All parties should remain quiet outside the courtrooms while other courts are in session. Please be courteous to others who also have hearings.
  • Parents with court hearings whose young children are not in proceedings should not bring their children to Court. Young children may need to wait outside of the Courtroom if they are not testifying at the hearing.
