About the District

The State of Florida is divided into three federal judicial districts: Northern, Middle and Southern. The Northern District of Florida is composed of 23 counties, divided into four divisions as reflected on the map below. The headquarters office is located in Tallahassee with branch offices in Pensacola and Gainesville. The district consists of 19,364 square miles and is home to approximately 1.8 million people, the majority of which reside in the urban areas of Pensacola, Panama City, Tallahassee, and Gainesville.
