U.S. Attorney Richard Callahan is the top-ranking federal law enforcement official in the Eastern District of Missouri. Our office serves half the population of Missouri. We have offices in St. Louis and Cape Girardeau with over 105 attorneys and support personnel.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office is responsible for the prosecution of federal crimes in the Eastern District of Missouri, including crimes relating to terrorism, fraud, public corruption, firearms, narcotics, child exploitation and human trafficking. The office also defends the United States in civil cases and collects debts owed to the United States.
