Mission
The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of North Carolina represents the United States of America.
We are committed to preventing acts of terrorism, enforcing the law, defending the interests of the United States, and promoting public safety through the fair and impartial administration of justice.
We seek justice in every case – for every victim, for every defendant, for our community, and for our Nation.
We are guided by three core values:
(1) Commitment to Excellence: We work hard with professionalism, integrity, respect, and high ethical standards. We work efficiently to be good stewards of the public funds entrusted to us to do our jobs.
(2) Partnership with Law Enforcement: We work together in partnership with federal, state, and local law enforcement and other agencies to ensure public safety and to protect the rights of crime victims. We work to promote crime prevention and crime reduction strategies. We also work to collect debts owed to the federal government and seek restitution on behalf of victims of crime.
(3) Equal Justice Under the Law: We seek fair and uniform enforcement of the laws to ensure that all people receive equal protection and justice under the law. We value differences in people and ideas and are committed to treating all with fairness, dignity, and respect.
