LAW ENFORCEMENT COORDINATING COMMITTEE

Law Enforcement Coordinating Committees (LECCs) were established in 1981 in all of the 94 United States Attorney's Offices by order of the Attorney General. The LECCs provide a means to coordinate and network for all local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.

In East Tennessee the LECC provides a multitude of training opportunities for our law enforcement partners and shares federal grant solicitations with law enforcement, state and local governments, and community organizations. Each year the LECC in our District trains thousands of individuals and brings together law enforcement professionals to keep working relationships strong. Sharry Dedman-Beard is the Law Enforcement Committee Coordinator for the United States Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Tennessee.
