The following information is for individuals who have been subpoenaed to testify in Federal Court or before the Grand Jury.

Confirm the date and time of the attendance

Please contact the above individual to verify your attendance is required BEFORE travelling, and to determine if there have been any changes in the date and time of the hearing or trial.

Travel

If you are required to travel to appear in court, immediately contact the individual listed above for assistance in making your travel arrangements.

Building Security

The United States Marshals Service has taken certain precautions to make the United States Courthouse secure. All visitors, including government witnesses, entering the building must pass through a metal detector. You are prohibited from bringing weapons, mace, cameras, recording devices, computers or other electronic devices into the building. General orders for entry and security are provided by the United States District Court, Eastern District of Washington website. Cell phones and pagers must be turned off while you are in the courtroom. Photo identification is required to enter the Courthouse. If you do not have photo identification, please contact the above individual.

Dress Code

All witnesses appearing in United States District Court in the Eastern District of Washington are asked to dress appropriately. Please avoid wearing shorts, tank tops and sandals. Please call if you have any questions regarding appropriate dress attire for court.

Yakima parking

Witnesses subpoenaed by our office will be reimbursed for their parking expense. Please do not park at a meter unless it allows for at least three hours or more.

The following parking lots are in close proximity to the United States Attorneys Office and the Federal Courthouse.

United States Attorney's Office - TOWER Building

  • Public Parking is located behind the TOWER Building between South Naches and 4th Street and the entrance is on Naches Avenue.
  • $2.00 for the first hour, then $1.00 for each additional hour
  • $5.50 over 4 hours
  • $2.50 additional charge for cars left overnight

  • Public parking is available directly across 3rd Street from the Federal Building - Parking in this lot is limited to 2 hours.
  • An All-Day FREE parking lot is located one block away, across the street from the police station at Third Street and Walnut.
