Scheduling §341(a) Meetings |
The United States Trustee sets the date, time, and location for meetings of creditors pursuant to 11 U.S.C. section § 341(a). Fed. R. Bankr. P. 2003(a) and LBR 2003-1. It may be necessary to add or delete dates based on bankruptcy case filings. Reliance on a posted meeting date is not a sufficient justification for resetting a meeting. Meeting continuances are governed by the United States Trustee's policy located at http://www.justice.gov/ust/r18/reg_info.htm. With some anticipated case assignment changes for the Chapter 13 Trustee’s Office, combined with the continuing reduction in filings and the related costs of travel for both counsel and the Chapter 13 Trustee’s Office, the chapter 13 meetings of creditors for Coos and Douglas counties have moved to Eugene and will begin October 8th. |
