The U.S. Attorney's Office is primarily a litigating office, not an investigative office. Nevertheless, most inquiries that are submitted to our office request that we investigate some allegation. Our typical practice is to return the inquiry to the sender with instructions that it be transmitted to an appropriate investigative agency.
