Victim Notifications

The United States Attorney’s Offices within the Department of Justice established the Victim Witness Program in 1984. Under the program, all victims and witnesses of federal crime receive the assistance and protection to which they are entitled.

In cases involving large numbers of victims, the United States Attorney’s Office often creates a case-specific website to serve as a convenient, publicly-available repository of information.
