On March 13, 2014, President Barack Obama nominated Mr. Green for the position of United States Attorney for the Middle District of Louisiana. The U.S. Senate unanimously confirmed Mr. Green’s nomination on May 1, 2014, and he was sworn in on June 2, 2014.

About the District

The Middle District of Louisiana is a nine parish region that includes the following parishes: Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Point Coupee, St. Helena, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana. The district has a population approaching 1 million. The U.S. Attorney's Office is located in Baton Rouge on the banks of the Mississippi River in South Central Louisiana.
