From September 4 to 8, ICITAP-Philippines conducted a five-day Basic Countering Terrorist Financing and Money Laundering Investigations Course, which was attended by 19 Philippine National Police (PNP) Officers from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG), Intelligence Group (IG), and Regional Intelligence Division (RID).

On August 28, ICITAP initiated a four-week, scenario-based training exercise in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), scheduled to conclude on September 22.
On August 22, the ICITAP-Bangladesh mission provided an update on its assistance to the Bangladesh Police (BP). In furtherance of ICITAP’s Host National Instructor (HNI) program goals, during the weeks of August 6 to 17, 2023, ICITAP successfully completed an Instructor Development Course (IDC) for select members of the BP. In total, ten BP officers from various ranks ranging from Sub-Inspectors to Superintendents were trained.
A new report confirms what national security leaders have long warned: If Congress fails to reauthorize Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), the United States stands at the brink of a self-inflicted national security calamity. The study -- by an independent group of intelligence experts called the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board (PIAB) -- did not mince words: “history may judge the lapse of Section 702 authorities as one of the worst intelligence failures of our time.”
