U.S. Attorney Participates in Fair Housing Summits

U.S. Attorney Bentley addresses Tampa Bay Fair Housing Consortium

U.S. Attorney A. Lee Bentley, III, along with colleagues from the Department of Justice, recently participated in two local forums on fair housing.  These distinct events were attended by hundreds, including representatives from local governments, housing administrators, real estate professionals, and social advocates.  The first summit was held on April 25 in Clearwater, the second was held on April 29 in Orlando.  During his presentations, Mr. Bentley highlighted several recent civil rights accomplishments and reiterated his Office’s commitment to the enforcement of fair housing matters.  He emphasized to the audiences that the Middle District of Florida is working to improve the collaboration and coordination of resources among local, state, and federal partners.
