Attorney General: Pamela J. Bondi

Pamela Jo Bondi was born on November 17, 1965, in Tampa, Florida. She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in 1987 and a law degree from the Stetson University College of Law in 1990. Bondi was admitted to the Florida bar in 1991. From 1991 to 2000, she served as Assistant State Attorney within the Office of the State Attorney for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. In 2010, she was elected Attorney General of Florida and served two terms from 2011 to 2019, becoming the first woman to serve in the position. In 2019, Bondi joined the White House as Special Advisor to President Donald J. Trump in the Office of White House Counsel and in 2020 was appointed by the President to the Board of Trustees at the Trump Kennedy Center, continuing to serve in 2026. Following her White House tenure, she worked in private law and consulted for numerous organizations in public policy and advocacy, including serving as the Chair for the Center of Litigation, Co-Chair of the Center for Law and Justice, and Chair of the Florida Chapter at the America First Policy Institute. 

On February 5, 2025, President Donald J. Trump appointed Bondi as the 87th Attorney General of the United States.
