Workforce Composition Reports

Recommendation 2.5 of the final report of the President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing report states:

All federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement agencies should report and make available to the public census data regarding the composition of their department’s including, race, gender, age and other relevant demographic data.

Based on this recommendation, the Department of Justice is providing workforce composition reports that address many of the categories in Recommendation 2.5. This data is reflective of what the Department’s workforce self reported as of March 2015 and is intended to provide transparency as highlighted in Pillar One of the report.
